I Don't Love You Any Less,
I Just Don't Love You Any More

by R.A. Melos

From the moment I saw you,
I knew we were meant to be.
Like Alice B. Toklas and Gertrude Stein,
a love story for all time.

But time and your heart moved on,
and my love for you became a pawn,
in a game of liar's poker,
when you broke my heart.
So now we spend eternity apart.

I don't love you any less,
I just don't love you any more,
you cut me from your life,
but I'm the one to close the door.
Like everything else,
you leave before things are through,
and like everything else,
you find someone else,
who will do everything for you.

I'd like to be around,
to see the time,
when you no longer,
have someone on the line.
I'd like to be the one,
to say "I told you so."
But I'll just have to wait in line.

I don't love you any less,
I just don't love you any more.
You've got someone who,
will do everything for you,
until they wake up and see,
what I already see.
Maybe then you'll do for them,
what you did for me,
you'll turn on them,
you'll cut them from you life,
and give them the gift you gave me.
In one moment of time,
when their love is no longer blind,
you'll toss them aside and set them free.

I don't love you any less,
I just don't love you any more.
You can go on through you life,
like you do a revolving door.
You'll someday see the pattern,
and know I am right,
but it'll be much too late
when you see the light.

I don't love you any less,
I just don't love you any more.
